GATE 2017 Notification- GATE (Graduation Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an all India examination for admission to M.Tech, M.E in IITs, NITs, and GFTIs and in many private Universities. GATE exam is held for engineering stream. It is a national level examination which conducts every year to test the subject knowledge of applicant. GATE 2017 will conduct by IIT Roorkee. As per year the notification Gate 2017 will release in August 2016.

Procedure of Registration for GATE 2017
The candidates who are interested in GATE 2017 first of all register you on GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System). This registration will complete with your personal details like email id, date of birth, mobile number etc. Candidates can access GOAPS from website of organising institute. After successful registration you will get GOAPS id and password. To fill the online application form sign in with your GOAPS account. Followings documents should be ready to fill online application form:-
- Your Personal details
- Communication address of candidate
- Scanned signature and photograph
- Name of GATE centres
- Qualifying degree details
- Details of Identity Proof
- Please mention your mode of payment online or offline.
- Choose your centre carefully, if form submitted once then make changes are not allowed.
Application Fee and Payment Mode
Application fee for GATE 2017 can pay online or offline. In online mode payment can deposit by Net Banking and in offline mode fee has to be paid by e-challan. In offline mode fee can deposit only in SBI or Syndicate Bank branches through e-challan. Examination fee for different categories are as follows:-
- For General/OBC – Rs. 1500/-
- For Women candidates – Rs. 750/-
- For SC/ST – Rs. 750/-

GATE Exam Pattern
There are 65 questions of 100 marks in GATE examination paper, in which 10 questions from general aptitude carrying 15 marks. Rest 55 questions are from subject. There are two type questions in paper- 1)Multiple choice questions, 2)Numerical type question.
- Multiple Choice Questions – In these question you have to choose correct answer or answers.
- Numerical Answer Questions- In these questions you have to choose a numerical value from virtual keyboard.
Mode of Exam
It will computer based test for all the candidates who will appear in examination. The questions will display in random sequence for each candidate. Candidate can choose any section (MCQ or Numerical Answer Question) to answer.
