National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2017 will be conducted by National Council Educational Research and Training (NCERT). NTSE is a scholarship examination through which eligible students get scholarship. NTSE Exam is necessary to be eligible for scholarship program which conduct by NCERT. All candidates who will appear in examination will get shortlisted on basis their performance in NTSE examination. NTSE Scholarship Exam conducts in two stages in a year, first conduct in the month of November, 2016 and second will conduct in the month of May, 2017. NTSE 2017 Syllabus
Here all those candidates who are going to take participate in NTSE 2017 can check here for NTSE 2017 Syllabus. NTSE Exam 2017 will be conducted in two test, Test-I is Mental Ability Test and second is Scholastic Aptitude Test, so both stages will carry different syllabus. Here we are discussing syllabus for both test.
NTSE Mental Ability Test (MAT) Syllabus
In this section or test candidate will have to go through analytical and logical reasoning based questions. In this part will check candidate’s reasoning, ability to think, evaluate, ability to discriminate and visualize. In this section total 50 questions will be asked from series, coding-decoding, analogies, pattern perception, problem solving and figures etc. There will be total 50 questions in this part of examination.
NTSE Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Syllabus
In this section candidates will have to expose their text book knowledge. In India there is no a single board, so NCERT don’t publish a specify syllabus for examination. Candidates can prefer their IX and X subject books to cover all questions.
NTSE Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Syllabus (Language Test)
Language Test is designed to judge the power of reading comprehension, logical sequencing; interpretative, evaluative, predictive and creative components of language. Students can appear for the Language Test either in English or in Hindi. This section will only in Stage-II.
NTSE 2017 Exam Pattern
All participating students should be check NTSE 2017 Exam Pattern for better preparation. NTSE 2016 Exam will be conducted in two stages, Stage-I & Stag-II. Each stage will consist two parts namely (1) Mental Ability Test, (2) Scholastic Aptitude Test. Here we are discussing about each section.
NTSE Stage-I Exam
NTSE Stage-I exam will be conducted at State/UT level by State/UT authorities. This stage will carry 200 questions, each question will carry 1 mark. In this section negative marking will not apply. Total time duration for this section will be 2 hours.
NTSE Stage-II Exam
NTSE Stage-II Exam will be conducted at National level, only those candidates who will qualify in Stage-I will be eligible for Stage-II. It will be conducted at National level for all eligible candidates. Each question will carry 1 mark for each right answer. There will 1/3 negative marking in this Stage-II.
